What's in the name?

The KEEL is often a structural beam that runs along the middle of a boat from bow to stern.  The PURPOSE of the keel is to help give the boat GREATER STABILITY and CONTROL while MOVING FORWARD.  The KEEL has two functions: it prevents the boat from being blown sideways by the wind, and it holds the ballast that keeps the boat right-side up.  Keel Services strives to help make sense of the information that blows towards parents at a rapid pace.  Through understanding and support from Keel Services, parents will be able to keep their family ship on route of their journey to their goals.

How can Keel Services Help?

Keel Services believes that parents are in control of the direction they steer their ship.  Keel Services can provide guidance and support to help families navigate their own family systems, the education system,  and community resources.  Through understanding your child's unique needs, Keel Services strives to provide support as you build a strong relationship with your child, your child's school, and your child's community.  When parenting a child with special needs it is easy to feel overwhelmed by recommendations, paperwork, appointments, therapy schedules, behavior plans, diets, etc.  Just as the keel prevents the boat from being blown sideways by the wind, Keel Services can provide guidance to stay focused on your goals for your child and help navigate through the processes necessary to meet your child's needs.
